Landmark Recognized in Ireland: Landmark Forum Gets Rave Reviews in Irish Mail on Sunday Article

March 13, 2012 [San Francisco, CA/USA] Creating an extraordinary life isn't about luck – it's about changing perceptions about what is possible, say participants in The Landmark Forum in an article published March 4 in the Irish Mail on Sunday.

The Landmark Forum is a three-day course offered by Landmark Education, a global personal and professional growth, training and development firm that empowers people to achieve their full potential for success, fulfillment and greatness. Nikki Walsh, a reporter for the newspaper, interviewed several graduates of The Landmark Forum in Dublin for her article, which can be seen here.

“Working on the fundamental principle that people have the possibility not only of success but also of fulfillment and greatness, they (Landmark Education) created a series of programmes using a model known as ‘transformative learning,’ which gives people an awareness of the basic structures through which they know, think, and act in the world,” Walsh writes. “From this awareness, it is possible to create a shift in thinking and it’s this shift that is the essence of Landmark.”

The article focuses on the successes of several Landmark Forum graduates in improving their relationships and overall satisfaction in life—breakthroughs they attributed to the experience of attending the seminar. “I became aware, very quickly, of the limitations I’d imposed on my life, and how fixed my view of things had become,” said Ruth (not her real name), 37, a mother and teacher who attended The Landmark Forum last year.

Olivia Seery, 67, a medical scientist and mother of four, said her life improved in several ways after she attended The Landmark Forum. After being “utterly disillusioned” with her job, she found a new perspective. “After that, my work changed completely. It was like having a completely different job. I realized I was making a difference, and so were my colleagues. I could see the value of it, and that was a good thing.” She also credited The Landmark Forum with prompting her to lovingly communicate with her mother before her passing. “You forgive. You put the past back in the past and when you do that, you begin to live life in the present and take action in whatever area of your life you choose.”

In independent studies, Landmark participants overwhelmingly reported that Landmark’s programs exceeded their expectations and provided great value in their lives. In a study by Harris Interactive®, a research company respected globally for its credibility and accuracy, 97% of educators surveyed who participated in The Landmark Forum stated that it provided great value, while 96% said it made a profound and lasting difference in their lives.
